Portraits and people are among the most difficult subjects for a professional photographer … not to mention an amateur one!

Still, my mother took one of the best shots I have ever seen of a child (but I was one year old and “defenceless”).

Thank you mamma for showing me that humans are also a good subject of art!

When I photograph humans, I try to be inconspicuous, pass unnoticed: I shoot from a long distance, use window reflections or transparent screens … and let them get on with what they are doing.
